Kitara Media
Kitara Media - http://kitaramedia.com/
With the recent purchase of the company by Bristol Interactive, LLC and the cash and talent infusion they seem to be making serious headway into the first tier. Mostly a revenue share network, Kitara Media has made vast improvements in payments, interface and eCPM. It is indicated by some publishers they will do cpm deals. Some of the new toys for publishers to play with are a fully automated sign in and digital W8/W9 which simplifies and accelerates signup. Kitara Media also has a brand new iPhone widget which streams revenue stats to your phone real time, and a quality of traffic rating which constantly compares your traffic to historical and their internal network quality levels. These tools and a proactive attitude make them a solid player in the web publishing world.
The Rubicon Project

The Rubicon Project - http://rubiconproject.com/
The Rubicon Project is a network of ad networks that seems to work. Publishers can apply to one great catch-all for access to all the offerings of a whole bunch of networks. Great design, great fundamentals and function; this site is a winner. But, already some users are concerned that what worked pre-signup, now doesn’t work thru Rubicon. And if Rubicon ever starts to seriously squeeze the profits of its network partner, so that they become viewed as competitors, their business model might have problems. But, with a one hundred and thirty network depth that includes the top-tier players, they might just be on to a very good thing.
Advertising.com Review
Advertising.com - http://www.advertising.com
The leader in the industry, AOL’s advertising.com, recently folded under the umbrella of Platform A, boasts what ComScore Media Metrics calls the largest advertising network on earth. With an astonishing 91% reach and the scope of the offerings from premium, agency and brand clients, as well as ‘smart’ ads that track the behavior of your visitors and adjust your offering according, make it a network well worth being a part of. The difficulty comes in qualifying, with the click thru rates and unique traffic needed from publishers only sitting at the very highest end of the spectrum.
Casale Media Review
Casale Media - http://www.casalemedia.com/
Casale Media gives the publisher a variety of choice and control over advertising content afforded by users, not to mention an industry leading 70% payout rate, has made Casale a major player. However, I have some concerns about Casale which I will share below. On the whole, most publishers like the treatment they get from Casale, and advertisers like the reach and scope of the network. Delivery of ads to publisher sites is sometimes hampered by the constrained technical specs of their offerings, but relative to its size, (huge) the complaints are few and far between. The only problem I have personally had with Casale is an extreme level of conceit with the staff. If you do not have to deal with the business development people or the management, you may have a great experience.
Tribal Fusion Review
Tribal Fusion - http://www.tribalfusion.com/
The Tribal Fusion business model is centered on high volume traffic from high-quality publishers, which also means high standards for choosing their business partners. Listed as CPM-only, the list of publishers Tribal Fusion carries tends to be pretty exclusive at around only top 1000 sites. Great if you can get in, because the adverting offerings also tend towards premium and brand clients. Add in great customer service and great filter options and you can build a click-worthy site - even if the return may be less than some other companies.
